Green Amethyst - Know My Story!

Green Amethyst is a light green colored- transparent Semi-Precious Gemstone. Prasiolite is Green Quartz, a silicate mineral which is chemically silicon dioxide. Prasiolite, which is popularly known as Green Amethyst stone does not occur naturally. It is produced by heating Amethyst which is Yellowish Quartz. This Yellow Quartz is mainly found in Brazil and the USA. Amethyst is heated at about 500-degree centigrade to produce Green Amethyst Stone having a pale Green Color which when exposed in direct strong sunlight loses its color. Some varieties of Green Quartz do occur naturally. These are members of the Chalcedony Quartz family. They comprise of Chrysoprase and aventurine. Aventurine is mainly dark-green with a glittery metallic appearance caused by included green mica. Chrysoprase is colored due to the presence of trace amounts of nickel. Its color varies from apple-green to deep green. These are purely and completely Natural Gemstones.

Pyrite - Know My Story!

Pyro means heat and pyrite comes from the Greek word “Pyr” which means fire. When it was introduced it was struck with steel and it caused a spark. Hence then that spark was used for igniting a fire for gun to shoot. Since then it was named Pyrite; stone that ignites a fire.

It is an iron sulfide and found residing with other sulfides at the time of mining.

It is found under the sedimentary and metamorphic rocks where gold is also found. Though people often call it a Fool’s gold but sometimes it constitutes of gold too.

So better not call any metal especially nature’s gift to be disgracious.

It seems to be pale- darkish yellow with hardness from 6-6.5 at Mohs scale.

Usually, Pyrites from a crystal cuboidal shape and resembles the artificial geometrical models found in Europe as early as the 5th century BC.

When Pyrite is found, it is in dust form and if it is exposed to air, it decomposes into sulfates or iron oxide. Then to preserve it so that it stays, there’s this bacteria acidithobacillusin in which it is preserved and this oxidizes the Pyrite to make ferrous oxide and sulfate.

It’s never an easy process to extract nature’s heaven and smack it on to the world. Things go under extensive workload, pressure, reactions, combination and then prepared. And that’s when it shines so bright.

Talking of prices, if pyrite contains 0.25% gold then one ton of pyrite will worth over $109,000.

So, it costs a higher stake which makes it nonetheless than gold itself.

How different Tourmaline is from others is this one fact that Tourmaline is distinguished by its three-sided prisms; no other common mineral has three sides.

Let me tell you My Origin - London Blue topaz

It is found in various countries around the world. USA, Afghanistan, Australia, Myanmar, China, Germany, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Brazil are the chief producers of this Brilliant Blue Stone. Brazil is the heart of London Blue Topaz, producing the finest and the largest London Blue Topaz of top quality.

Topaz is as old as the roman and Greek era. In medieval times, it was mined in the mountains of Germany. Several rulers wore it as jewelry as it was a rare and prized stone.

Topaz mainly occurs in white color and Blue Topaz is a rarity. Hence, White Topaz is radiated to produce Blue Topaz which is also called Swiss Blue Topaz.

London Topaz is produced by exposure to radiation in a nuclear reactor. When Topaz is exposed to fast neutrons, the radiation changes the color centers, producing a deep blue color. Further heat treatment is often used to lighten the inky color.

From, as blue as an azure sky to as dark as ink, London Blue Topaz can be found in various shades. Due to being Dichroic, a tint of green color is often seen in this stone when moved in the light.
